Privacy policy

This policy explains what SCHOPFER RETAIL (“The Career Buddha”, “we”) collects when you use thecareerbuddha.com and book a workshop with The Career Buddha, and how we use it.

What we collect

• Booking details you enter: your name, email, mobile number, age, whether you're a student or working, your education, what you do now and where you're based.
• Payment details: Razorpay processes payments. We receive a payment ID and status, not your card, UPI or bank details.
• Basic technical data: our hosting provider, Amazon Web Services, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and the pages requested) to run and secure the site.
• Ad measurement: the Meta Pixel on this site tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) which pages you visit here and whether you start or complete a booking, along with your browser, device and IP address, so we can measure and improve our ads. It doesn't send the details you type into the booking form.
• Site analytics: Google Analytics records how visitors use this site, such as the pages viewed, the device used and roughly where from, so we can improve it.

How we use it

• To confirm your booking and send you the workshop details.
• To contact you about your booking, including any rescheduling.
• To understand who the workshop serves, so we can improve it.
• To tell you about the 4-week programme. You can ask us to stop at any time.
• To measure how our Facebook and Instagram ads perform, and to show them to people likely to be interested.

Who we share it with

• Razorpay, to process your payment. Your booking details are stored with the payment record in our Razorpay account.
• Amazon Web Services, which hosts this website and stores your booking record.
• Google Workspace, where our team keeps a working list of bookings, and Google Analytics, which measures how the site is used.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram), through the Meta Pixel, to measure our ads. Meta's use of that data is covered by its own privacy policy.

We don't sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and payment records for as long as we need them to run the workshop and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.

Cookies

We use the Meta Pixel, which sets cookies so Meta can measure how our Facebook and Instagram ads perform, and Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure how the site is used. You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or manage how Meta uses them in your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences. Razorpay's payment window may also set cookies it needs to process your payment.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete your personal data, or to stop sending you updates, by emailing sachin.halesh@schopferretail.com. We may need to keep payment records where the law requires it.
